The brief was clear: an isolated office, a comfortable kitchen with an island, and dedicated display areas for collections and travel mementos. Tischler’s team not only met these requirements but also elevated them with ingenious design and technical innovations.

The heart of the apartment is the 36.6m² kitchen-living room, bathed in natural light from three large windows. Here, the Italian brand Cesar provided a custom island, framed by striking porcelain stoneware. The island, a monolithic block of quartzite with a dynamic texture, houses a cooktop with a built-in hood, a wine cabinet, and deep, illuminated drawers that activate upon opening. Discreetly integrated sockets maintain the island’s sleek aesthetic, while semi-bar stools on the living room side create a casual breakfast area. Illuminated glass shelves provide a stage for the client’s art collection and travel memorabilia.

The dining area features Midj chairs upholstered in vibrant blue, contrasting with a neutral-toned table whose base was custom-designed to echo the chair legs. Tom Dixon lamps illuminate the space, while a Marvel poster in a custom lightbox adds a touch of pop culture. A Milano Bedding fold-out sofa offers flexibility for guests, while a metal hanging cabinet and a surround-sound system cater to entertainment needs. A MisuraEmme armchair, a vinyl player stand, and a bespoke bar with ribbed glass fronts create a cozy lounge area by the window.

A particularly striking feature is the arched opening between the living area and hallway, adorned with a winding graphic mural by artist Vasiliy Matafonov. This bespoke artwork incorporates words meaningful to the client, adding a personal touch.

Clever space-saving solutions are evident throughout. A concealed utility area, accessed via sleek black facades, houses a washing machine, dryer, and ample storage. The guest bathroom, located opposite, features a large countertop with an integrated sink and kitchen faucet, doubling as a practical laundry zone. Stainless steel panels on the walls and door provide a magnetic canvas for travel souvenirs, enhanced by RGB lighting around the mirror cabinet.

The hallway’s compact footprint is cleverly expanded with a floor-to-ceiling mirror and a floating mirrored console. A large, artist-painted closet on the opposite wall conceals a water supply and heating manifold unit, along with suitcase storage.

In the bedroom, a bespoke MisuraEmme wardrobe with tinted glass fronts, vertical lighting, and eco-leather lined drawers offers ample and stylish storage. A curved, artist-painted panel above the headboard, illuminated to highlight the textured walls, extends seamlessly into the loggia, creating a sense of continuity. The loggia itself has been transformed into a 4.1m² office space with a concrete-finish table and document cabinet.

The bathroom, accessed directly from the bedroom, has been significantly enlarged to 7.3m². Palm leaf patterned tiles by 41zero42 adorn the wall by the window, while a freestanding bathtub and a ceiling-mounted Antonio Lupi shower head create a luxurious bathing experience. A custom-designed wall-mounted cabinet with an integrated sink and a shallow, glass-fronted cosmetics cabinet complete the space. Parquet flooring, resembling deck boards, adds a distinctive touch to both the bedroom and bathroom.
