Seine Design has unveiled Annette K, a unique floating swimming pool and wellness gym in Paris, France, dedicated to promoting both physical and mental well-being. Inspired by the Deligny pool and the serene water scenes of the Impressionist era, this project boasts an Olympic-length swimming pool alongside a sports, health, and wellness center, perfectly timed for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The spacious layout accommodates a range of activities throughout the day, complemented by a coffee shop, restaurant, spa, and physiotherapy offices. The highlight of Annette K is the suspended pool, resembling the hull of a life-size sailboat on a barge, constructed from wood, steel, and glass to blend harmoniously with the surrounding greenery and architecture.

The Nordic pool concept by Seine Design emphasizes natural aesthetics and a minimalist design, creating an outdoor swimming experience even in unfavorable weather conditions, with minimal enclosed spaces on the rooftop terrace. The pool’s heating system efficiently warms the lower decks, while a running track encircling the terrace offers panoramic views and dynamic movement.

The stainless steel structure of Annette K not only houses the Olympic-sized pool but also supports the deck’s infrastructure with spider-like legs, ensuring a spacious environment for various activities without the need for dropped ceilings or raised floors. Accessibility for all forms of disability is a top priority, guaranteeing inclusive experiences for all visitors.

Water elements are seamlessly integrated into the design, with portholes allowing natural light to illuminate the building and reflections from the Seine creating a mesmerizing visual display reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
