A sporty design and lightweight construction can now also be found on two wheels with the new Audi Sport Racing Bike. The Four Rings brand is bringing on the market for the first time a technologically advanced carbon racing bike in a limited edition.
Audi developed the racing bike in cooperation with the CarbonSports company. The bike is unique in its overall design. The color scheme comes from the Audi Concept Design Studio in Munich. The saddle is covered in Fine Nappa leather, a detail from the new Audi R8. The 790 gram (27.9 oz) lightweight frame and the wheels are made of carbon – specifically T1000 carbon fiber, already employed by Audi for the cockpit of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro. The result is a complete bike with the Audi Sport look and a total weight of only 5.8 kg (13.0 lb). The limited edition badges bear the numbers 1 through 50.
The Audi Sport Racing Bike, presented at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show, is available at a price of 17,500 euros (about $18,500 USD) .
