Montréal-based studio Moment Factory has created Foresta Lumina, an illuminated night walk through the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, Québec. After dark, visitors explore the park’s charms at their own pace, experiencing a scenography featuring lighting effects and video mapping accompanied by an original soundtrack. All along the 2 km ‘garden of wishes’ trail – where visitors pick up a magical stone and make a wish on it as they toss it into the water at the ‘enchanted shore’ – visitors will meet fascinating beings that lead them into a fully immersive adventure.
The Moment Factory team custom-made the entire experience, including perforated metal panels resembling ancient manuscripts, lighting units designed to look like fairies, video mapping on natural elements and more. The multimedia installations are seamlessly integrated into the surroundings, creating an all-encompassing sense of magic.
The installation will be on display until October 11, 2014.
