Nestled in the vibrant core of Paris, Apartment Ballu showcases the elegance of Haussmann architecture. Perched on the 5th floor of a classic Haussmannian building at the intersection of rue Ballu and rue de Vintimille, this 112m² residence has undergone a meticulous renovation by Parages Architectes, all while retaining its unique Haussmannian charm.
The primary goal of the project was to open up the apartment and establish a seamless flow between the various rooms. The design team at Parages Studio executed this vision by decompartmentalizing the spaces and converting traditional doors into elegant passageways. This innovative approach not only facilitated smoother movement throughout the apartment but also invited an abundance of natural light, resulting in a bright and airy ambiance.
A remarkable aspect of the Apartment Ballu is its distinctive shape, a result of its corner location. At the center of the design lies a rotunda dining room, which infuses the space with a sense of sophistication. When it comes to the color palette, the designers chose a striking contrast. The living areas are enveloped in a gentle pastel pink, harmonizing beautifully with the natural hues of the Hungarian point parquet flooring and the soft gray walls.
