Sirius Aviation’s Hydrogen-Powered VTOL Aircraft: The Future of Aviation

Sirius Aviation's Hydrogen-Powered VTOL Aircraft

Sirius Aviation

Sirius Aviation has recently introduced two hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft, specifically the CEO model and the Adventure variant. These groundbreaking aircraft possess the capability to maneuver effortlessly through dense jungles and effortlessly glide above towering mountains. Co-designed by BMW’s Designworks and Sauber Group, these aircraft are being celebrated as the world’s inaugural hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft.

One of their standout features is the 28 ducted fans, with 20 located along the wings and another eight mounted in the canard. These fans are powered by separate electric motors, resulting in reduced noise emissions, a significant advantage for both passengers and the environment.

The CEO Jet is perfect for those who value convenience and flexibility. With room for three passengers, it offers point-to-point landings, allowing travelers to choose their exact landing location. With a flight range of up to 1,150 miles (1,850 kilometers) and a top speed of 323 mph (520 km/h), this jet is ideal for leisure and business flights.

On the other hand, the Adventure aircraft is designed for thrill-seekers and adventurers. It can navigate through jungles, traverse mountains, and explore territories that traditional aircraft may not be able to reach. With seating for five passengers and a pilot, it offers an exhilarating experience like no other. With a flight range of 650 miles (1,050 kilometers) and a top speed of 323 mph (520 km/h), the Adventure aircraft is ready to take you on unforgettable journeys.

The design and technological details of the upcoming Sirius Jet hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft models are still uncertain, but the provided images offer some insight into what can be expected. The interior of the Sirius CEO Jet features cabin materials that resemble leather and have a soft texture, complemented by a color scheme of tanned brown. The lighting design incorporates strip lights on both the ceiling and floor. Positioned in front of the pilot is a large monitor screen without any visible edges, while the landscape windows provide clear views of the flight navigation.

In the case of the Sirius Adventure Jet, which is specifically designed for off-grid excursions, it may come equipped with emergency and safe landing equipment. One of the released images shows a floater attached beneath the aircraft, which would prevent it from sinking in water until emergency responders arrive. Currently, Sirius Aviation AG plans to conduct the first flights of their aircraft model in 2025. The design team has previously introduced two other models: the Sirius Business Jet catering to private aircraft needs and the Sirius Millennium Jet for commercial aviation.
