The apartment designed by Moca Arquitetura for Brazilian influencers, the Two Lost Kids, is a testament to the duo’s vibrant and imaginative aesthetic. The space, a canvas for their creative expressions, is a playful and functional environment that reflects their distinctive style.
The architects, Katia Azevedo and Ana Sikorski, sought to capture the essence of the Two Lost Kids’ universe, creating a space that would serve as both a home and a studio. The result is a dynamic and visually striking interior that seamlessly blends modern design with nostalgic elements.
“The project needed to reflect what we already know about their aesthetic. It was as if we took all their videos and compiled them into one space, creating a portal to their universe,” explain the partners at Moca Arquitetura, the firm responsible for the project. “When we began this project, they didn’t yet have a dedicated studio for their productions. Much of their content was still being filmed at home, so the space needed to be not only functional but also somewhat theatrical.”
One of the most striking features of the apartment is the curved wall that divides the living room from the kitchen. This sculptural element adds a sense of movement and fluidity to the space, while also providing a visual connection between the two areas. The wall is adorned with custom-made cabinetry, finished in a high-gloss lacquer, which reflects light and adds a touch of glamour.
The living room is a cozy and inviting space, anchored by a pair of iconic Togo armchairs. The Ello lamp, a custom-designed piece by Moca Arquitetura, adds a modern touch to the room. The architects carefully considered the placement of appliances and electronics, opting for minimalist designs that blend seamlessly into the overall aesthetic. The television, for example, is concealed behind a matte-finished frame, resembling a piece of art.
The bedroom is a serene and private retreat, with a focus on comfort and functionality. The minimalist design allows the focus to remain on the stunning views of the city.
The Two Lost Kids’ apartment is a testament to the power of design to create spaces that inspire and delight. By combining bold colors, playful shapes, and functional design, Moca Arquitetura has created a home that perfectly reflects the unique personality of its inhabitants.
