Unveiled ahead of 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, the Yamaha MOTOROiD is a motorcycle concept that can interact with the rider thanks to artificial intelligence. In order to bring people new experiences of Kando, the Japanese word for the simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement, this experimental machine employs artificial intelligence and explores the feasibility of concepts for creating new forms of personal mobility in which the rider resonates harmoniously with machine.
MOTOROiD’s development concept was an “Unleashed Prototype,” and it is capable of recognizing its owner and interacting in other capacities like a living creature. As illustrated, the electric-powered concept features chrome battery cells that look like canisters beneath the rider’s seat, that is influenced by a futuristic racing design. by undertaking these kinds of development challenges, the Japanese-manufacturer aims to acquire innovative technologies for its vehicles.
Yamaha will present the MOTOROiD along 20 different concepts during the Tokyo Motor Show begins on October 27.
